Description
Headquarters of the Foundation Institute Marques da Silva since 2009, which also occupies the contiguous Lopes Martins palace, by the same architect. Projected with the double purpose of serving as a house and a work space, the Casa-Atelier [Home-Studio] is an example of the compositional and technical capacity of Marques da Silva, resorting to an elaborate volumetric articulation, broad and set-like interiors, stones of great dimensions in the balconies and mixed slabs of wood and reinforced concrete. Pay attention to the accesses and the indoor communication between the studio and the house, and visit the garden.
