Description
Monument of Public Interest since 2011, this fundamental work by Rogério de Azevedo, is a symbol of modernity in Porto. It represents progress and a new way of living in the city, with the arrival of the automobile. One of the first buildings in reinforced concrete, which allowed its large inner spaces, it detains a modern architecture in a clear break with the next door building, the headquarters of the newspaper Comércio do Porto, designed by the same author. Go up the garage’s spiral ramp and visit the top floor offices.
