Description
With 22 years of age, Januário Godinho designs the Massarelos fish market, an impressive decisive work in the modern architecture of Porto. It is one of the first buildings in reinforced concrete and it includes a large nave for the fish market and a volume for the offices at the corner. Public Interest Building since 1977, this work was transformed in a hotel in 2015: an intervention that maintained the spacious industrial nave and the exterior appearance of the building, adding a new glass volume in the back façade.
