Description
The public water supply of Vila Nova de Gaia stretches for more than 1400 km, covering the whole of the municipality. The system is served by 32 reservoirs that guaranty the necessities of the population and secure the high fluctuation felt in the summer. The General Torres reservoir, finished in 1940, is located near the City Hall. Take notice of the chamber of manoeuvres with its pressure pumps and the cells that store water that daily arrives at our taps.
